Hotels

I sell any lodging properties that are available through Expedia. The pricing you’ll get through me is the same as through the Expedia website.

There are 3 paths to take from here:

1. I do the research, I get a small referral bonus, you get rewards

Have a chat with me, I give you a few recommendations and you use my affiliate link to book on Expedia.

You get to keep full Expedia One Key rewards (status and points).

I get a referral bonus for a tiny percentage of your booking.

2. You do the research, I get a small referral bonus, you get rewards

If you already know what you’ll be booking, use my affiliate link to book and I will like you.

A lot.

3. I do the research, I get commission

Have a chat with me, I give you a few recommendations, and you book through me.

I get commission of a small percentage of your booking.

You will not get any rewards.

  • (Full disclosure: I do not get any commission or benefits by recommending the One Key product)

Expedia's One Key program introduced in 2023 is a loyalty program that combines rewards from Expedia.com, Hotels.com and Vrbo.com into one. There are two parts to the program - the status and the reward credit.

You gain status tiers when you accrue sufficient "trip elements" within a calendar year, and with each status tier you get additional hotel perks when you book through the brands.

You gain reward credit (between 1-6% of your spending based on your status tier and property type) when you book with any of the brands. The credit can then be spent for any future bookings.

  • I recommend it because I use it and I like it personally. Some of the hotel perks are actually comparable to some top tier credit card perks, and trip elements are actually quite easy (and at times cheap) to accumulate, like each day of a cheap car rental or each hotel room night count as an element. It is also relatively easy to reach Platinum (top) tier each year with just 30 trip elements.
